My research uses laser-based experimental techniques to study fluid flow and vortex dynamics. Current research focuses on the downstream wake of an airfoil with a Gurney flap and volumetric measurments of perturbed vortex rings.

Some of the techniques include Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV), Phase Doppler Particle Analysis (PDPA), Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence (PLIF), and Global Sizing Velocimetry (GSV). I have a couple of them listed in the links section under "Experiments."
