Gingival tissues, cementum, periodontal ligament, and alveolar bone discussed from histological, physiological. and pathological point of view.
PERO 8251 - Histology of the Periodontium
(1 cr; A-F only; offered Fall Odd Year)
The goal of this course is to develop in-depth knowledge of the histology of the periodontium. The class format is a weekly seminar in which students must be able to identify and describe unlabeled histological components to the faculty.
