Old:  No prerequisites
Proposal Changes: New:  The proposal adds one credit to the existing course (Math 4065), turning it into a 4-credit course. Past experience has shown that independently of the instructor, the present format doesn't allow for coverage of all of the material listed as course's objective. The additional hours will resolve this difficulty and will allow to add more examples of financial instrument and additional types of cash flows. This addition will align this course with the curriculum requirements for the Actuarial FM exam, therefore increasing the chances of the University of Minnesota to become a Center of Actuarial Excellence.
Looking into the future, this change may allow for a more efficient structure of courses within the Actuarial track (specifically, changes in the sequence Math 5075 / 5076).
