BAEM Advising Guide

BAEM Spring Advising E-mail

Subject: Important: BAEM Advising for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009

Hello BAEM Major,

Advising for BAEM majors has started for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009.

If you are graduating before Fall 2008 please see

http://onestop.umn.edu/onestop/Graduating/Degree_Application_Procedures.html

to apply for your degree and then ignore the rest of this message.

An advising hold has been placed on your records. To remove this
hold you need to submit your academic plans for Fall 2008 and
Spring 2009 and have them approved by your adviser. This is done
using our on-line system at

http://www.aem.umn.edu/srs

You may also request an appointment with your adviser using this
system, but an advising appointment is not required. Please note
that some of you have been assigned a new adviser as shown in the SRS system

Instructions for submitting your plans and other advising materials
can be found at

http://www.aem.umn.edu/teaching/undergraduate/advising_guide/

In particular, there is now extended information available on the
technical electives offered by the AEM Department. See

http://www.aem.umn.edu/teaching/undergraduate/advising_guide/offered_tech_electives.shtml

Once you select a term to view, click on the "View more information
about this course" links to see this information.

To check your progress towards the BAEM degree and what
requirements you have yet to meet, obtain an APAS report using the
link on

http://onestop.umn.edu/

One stop also has links to class schedules and other useful
information.

Please contact me or your adviser if you have any problems with
this process.

Prof. T. Shield
AEM Director of Undergraduate Studies
