Autoignition of hydrogen jet

Description

We are developing the simulation capability for turbulent reacting flows. Heat release produces large gradients in flow variables, and chemical reactions occur over a wide range of time-scales. Both factors affect the stability and accuracy of most numerical methods. Examples include autoignition of a cold jet of hydrogen injected into hot air simulated using a detailed chemical mechanism as well as planar difffusion flames.
