The AEM department formally welcomed 50 new undergraduates into upper division Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics on February 7, 2012. This is the largest of the three groups of students that will be admitted to the Major this year. Transfer students and some additional current sophomores will be admitted at the end of the spring semester. These students primarily make up the 2014 graduating class.
The Director of Undergraduate Studies, Professor Tom Shield, gave a short presentation about the AEM advising process and undergraduate degree and introduced the other department faculty.
The “Welcome to the Major” event also included a short reception with refreshments. Information about the AEM undergraduate program can be found here.
