AEM spotlight:
Solar car wins national competition

Sponsored by the Institute of Technology and housed in the Department of Aersopace Engineering and Mechanics, the Solar Vehicle project has continued to expand and compete in competitions across the country.
Most recently, this past Sunday (June 7th, 2009) the group participated in the Formula Sun Grand Prix and had an impressive first place finish at the race in Cresson, Texas.
Led by AEM Industrial Professor, Jeff Hammer, the group will continue to participate in competitions of this nature to prepare them for the North American Solar Challenge which will take place July 2010.
