AEM welcomed former astronaut and alumnus Duane Carey for leadership lecture
Duane “Digger” Carey received his BAEM in 1981 and his MS in Aerospace Engineering in 1982 from the University of Minnesota. On Tuesday, February 6, the Gary J. Balas Atrium was filled with students, staff and alumni as Carey reminisced about his life at the University of Minnesota.
Carey also shared how his education at UMN was foundational for his successes post- graduation as he launched his career as a USAF fighter pilot, USAF test pilot, and a NASA Space Shuttle Pilot.
