Opening for Post Doctoral Research Associate

A post-doctoral research associate is sought to work on an NSF-sponsored project concerning eddy identification and tracking in turbulent boundary layers. The post-doc will be the lead experimental researcher on the project, performing and supervising experiments as well as interacting with computer scientists developing visualization strategies. Experimental techniques will include flow visualization, stereoPIV, and dualplane PIV. The experiments will be supplemented by numerical analysis. The post doc will interact with the project P.I.'s and graduate students in the overall investigation.

The duration of the position is for a minimum of one year with possible renewal for a second year. Starting date is anticipated as February, 2007. Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in engineering or applied science. Candidates must have demonstrated experimental, analytical, and communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate should be self motivated and able to work independently.
