Briana is currently a senior in the department, transferring from overseas in the Fall of 2015. Loving travel and adventure, she has been passionate about aviation and aeronautics since she was a kid, taking the controls of her first aircraft at just eleven years old. Since then, her love for the skies has encouraged her to pursue private pilot training and a career in the aircraft design industry. She is motivated by the role models she has had the opportunity to look up to thus far, and as the 2017-18 AIAA President, hopes to be the same for others, leading and inspiring her peers and the next generation of aerospace engineers.
The Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics maintains a strong relationship with our alumni, and continuously works to provide services and opportunities for alumni to stay in touch with the department and with each other.
